Description
August 11th, 2018: This is an announcement that I will be discontinuing support for the dAhub bot. This account will continue to exist, but the bot will be terminated in the near future.
In the next few days I will refactor the bot to automatically issue refunds, specifically for donations received in the past few weeks that have not yet been processed. My intent is to close out all outstanding balances owed in a responsible manner so that the bot may be taken offline indefinitely sometime in the coming weeks.
I expect this announcement may appear sudden and unexpected to many. I want to emphasize that this dec

dAdroid: The unofficial DeviantArt Bot
The initial code for this bot was written back in 2013 when I started the project with a simpler name: dA Buddy.
I wanted to create something to assist myself on the repetitive routines I had to do when visiting DeviantArt. Some of them included replying to many comments, thanking people for adding my submissions to the favourites, gathering some points from dAhub, and stuff like that.
I got really some really positive feedback when I introduced the early bot to my friends, and I was surprised by the potential it had.
So I continued working on this bot, later renamed dADroid, to help me do things here with much more speed and accuracy R

Exploiting dA Legally With A Script
2018 edit: This is old news and no longer relevant!
In short, what is this news about?
It's about accounts that use a script to add ten thousands of deviants to their watchlist in a matter of days. Some people backwatch, that's how the script-account gains popularity and watchers (or points via donation if you want to). Even if they don't backwatch, some people will at least look at the site and may watch through your gallery or journal.
It's legal, I asked the helpdesk on this.
The problem is that the deviants being added by the script feel betrayed and disappointed. I want to inform people about this in the first place so they don't fal
